Price rules is a way to set up predefined discounts from Munu Portal to minimize the need for manual input of discount on the POS terminal. All discounts are defined in different rules with different types or value of discount depending on articles covered by the rule. This also enables you to use the same products that are already in the system and not creating new articles for every different occasion that are in need for special price e.g. After work.

To create a new price rule for your establishment, go to “Artikler” (1) > “Prisregler” (2). This page will display a list of all price rules created, and there is different columns displaying the parameters set for each of the rules, e.g. type, valid period/time.

To create a new rule, press “Ny prisregel” (3).

A window will pop up and firstly you give it a Name (4) and then you select the type (5). The options you can choose from is:

The most common in daily operation is the first two, where either there is a static discount percentage or a price change on an article.

Finish the creation by pressing “Opprett” (6)

After creation you are taken into where you make the definition of the rule. The header part on this page is where the parameters are set for the rule. Parameters possible to control is the valid period, both date and time, and it can also be enable for specific weekdays. Default settings is that is is available from the creation date and all weekdays. If no start or end-period is set, the rule will be active until it is manually deactivated or deleted. Priority controls which rule that should be activated if there are rules with the same articles in, and the closer the priority is to 0, the higher priority it has.
