Guide for how to create an article for your POS System. Article groups and subgroups will be setup in advance and will be foundation for creating the article. Think of the structure of Article groups and sub groups as levels of reporting. E.g you want to see the total sales Food, but be able to break down if you sell more starters then desserts.. Article groups and sub groups available when creating a new article can be viewed in the section “Artikkelgrupper”.

Creating an article

Entering the article info

  1. From the left side menu, access “Artikler”(1) > “Artikler”(2) from the toolbar on the left.

  2. Here you’ll have an overview of every article (3) in your system. To create a new one select the “Create New” button on the top right corner.

  3. Fill in the desired article information:

  4. Choose article group (artikkelgruppe)

  5. Choose sub-group (undergruppe)

  6. Add name

  7. Add cost price (innkjøpspris) - optional

  8. Description, (this shows 2 places:)

    1. POS: click on info-button

    2. Webshop: On the article detail page and on the article list IF the field "Description short (webshop)" is empty. If you want to use the article in a Webshop, the Short description-field should be used as an "introduction"

Adding prices

The prices are split into different VATs. For each VAT you can (optional) set a different price

  1. Add relevant price(s) - minimum one price is mandatory
  2. Select account (konto). Here it is very important to choose the right account so the transfer to accounting and bookkeeping is correct. If you are unsure, contact support.
  3. Choose whether to allow a discount on the item.

Adding an image

If you want to add a picture to an article, do so under prices and the Pictures section. This will show on POS and on the Webshop. Upload the image from your laptop. Contact customer service if you only want photos to show on the online store and not on POS. More info about article images on Webshop here: Article images in Webshop
